With double distance on next week and Noosa a couple of weeks later and the start of daylight saving, we saw some big numbers turned out today- along with 8 new starters for race 5 of the season.   With the new starters today,we now have just over 200 competitors registered this year- some regulars , others not so regular.

For those  competing in  the Double Distance next week, (normal racing schedule will still be operating)  an operative front and rear light must be fitted, no lights = no racing.

FOR DOUBLE DISTANCE COMPETITIONS:

PLEASE RACK YOUR BIKES ON THE TOP RACK- CLOSEST TO THE EXIT ROAD

Please  Rack your bikes nearest the roadway

AND

TRY AND KEEP THE NOISE DOWN

Some competitors are forgetting that their helmet must be fitted and done up before the bike is removed from the rack and must remain on until the bike is racked at the end of the ride.

We are still looking for volunteers to assist with marshalling, please have a look at the roster, and it you are able to assist let me know  enquiries@twintownstriathlon.org.au       WE need someone on 29th October for the Amaroo/Fraser Drive intersection (Noosa Tri weekend)

As promised we doubled up on the random draw for this week, and the winners were:
Julie West, Terry Hawkins, Liz Wall, Andrew Armstrong, Owen Green, Darren Jones, Shallain Hodge, Dave Proudfoot, Shaine Mutton and Gary Steele.

Good luck to those participating in the Brisbane to Gold Coast bike ride tomorrow.
