Today was the Season Presentation for our awesome Junior Triathletes. It was such a privilege to award Madaline (Maddie) Davoren the club President’s Award. Maddie has been such a supportive and encouraging force for the Juniors and the kids love her. Involved with our Juniors for a few years now, Maddie’s presence and organisation every Saturday to enable the race runs smoothly has been invaluable and much appreciated by parents and our little athletes. Thank you Maddie for all you do!
For our Seniors event this morning, males outnumbered the females in today’s small (but quality) field of 20.
We hear there were a few special moments out on course – Ross Salmon in his second week of comeback managed to run the whole run course and Alex Gilks had a season PB. Good to see Karen Nixon back out on the intermediate course too.
A few took it easy as they head to Kingscliff tomorrow. Good luck to all Twinnies members competing in Kingscliff Triathlon!
