Perfect conditions saw 48 competitors race today for our sixth race of the season, with some fast times including Scott Wildin with a 50.12 – well done as it was very hot out there on the run.
Welcome to Simon May for his first race on the full course – well done with a good time breaking the hour in the perfect conditions.
Thanks to Bec McLucas for showing Simon the bike leg, he appreciated your assistance!
Good luck to the Twinnies members who will be racing in Yamba Sprint Tri tomorrow. Twinnies are well represented with 20+ competitors on the start list and I am sure some podiums will be on the cards.
Reminder that we will be having a Xmas race and healthy breakfast on Saturday 18th December for our last race of 2021. We will have door prizes and a presentation on the day with a BBQ and mix of cereals and fruits etc . You do not need to race on the day to attend – just let us know if you are coming prior so we can cater.
Marshalling
Thanks to today’s marshalls John King, Josh Horsley, Viv Wright and Danny Warner
If you have not already done so, could you please nominate a date to marshall. We need 4 marshalls each week to be able to hold our races and really need your support. The roster will be on the registration desk each week or let us know via email or facebook and we can add your name. We need more marshalls for the 8th and the 15th January
Marshalls for next week are Tracy Foyster, Scott Collins, Greg Feeman and Ginny Jones
Registration is now open for next week so jump on and sign up – looking forward to our seventh race of the season next Saturday
Finally, there are a few members travelling to the Snowy Classic Gran Fondo in the off season on the 26th March 2022. Options of 170km or 110km ride on closed roads with plenty of hills. If you are interested, use code TTTRI25, exclusive to Twin Towns Tri members, to save $25 off the normal price
Stay safe and keep training,
DJ
Great Photos from John King – thank you!!!!
