Happy New Year to everyone, and thanks for helping to make Twinnies a great place to catch up every Saturday morning between September and March each year.
As we are approaching the pointy end of the season, with only a handful of races left. It might be timely to remind those that wish to participate in the Club Championships on the 9th March, you need to have completed a marshaling post and a minimum of 10 club races.
We have a couple of places left on the marshalling roster, so please let me know via the Contacts page.
Competition:
A reminder about the competition to design the new tri uniform, its open to all friends and family to come up with a design, with the winner receiving a free tri suit.
Milestones:
Ben Hall today graduated into the 100 race’s club, in fact I think it was his 102 race today, he kept leaving early but we kept him here today.
Random Draw Winners:
Kyle Mooney – Tweed Coast Chiropractics, Hollie Robards – Therapies on Boyd, Kev Bannerman – Coast Cyclery, Darren Jones – Twisted Fig, Rhys Campbell – swim cap
Marshals:
Today your marshals were: One of our sponsors – Jeff Murray from Therapies on Boyd at the top of Fraser, his wife Judy at Woodlands Roundabout and Rowena Smith at Lochlomond Roundabout.
Next week your marsals will be:
Scott Bornholt up on Fraser, Julie Lowe at Woodlands RAB and Gerard Robards at Lochlomond RAB.
Registration are open for next week, so for those that leave it to the last minute or even forget to get it done in time, jump on now and register
We have a number of family groups and husband and wife teams in our club. So have been members for a really long time, but today it was revealed that one of these long standing members did not wear his chip?, why you might ask. Well according to him, his wife did not put it on his leg, now I’m not one to name and shame, but his chip number is 4.
