A fantastic morning today with 50 competitors racing on a perfect day with no wind or rain – probably the best weather we have had all season. Disappointing to have around 20 or so no shows today on such a great race day.
Thanks to Amy Wright and Kent Holmes for seamlessly running the timing system in the absence of Timekeeper Dave DQ, who is gallivanting around Tassie exploring some history and sampling gastronomical delights. Also thanks to Rowena Smith for the photos today and Ginny Jones for the box of bananas and pumpkins to hand out on the day fresh from their property.
Of the times recorded, Scott Wildin (50.35) just edged out our new Vice President Scott Thompson (50.41) by a mere 6 seconds, with Tracy Foyster (53.27) the fastest female – congratulations to both of you
Club Championships
Nomination forms are now available at sign in for Club Championships on the 5th March. Due to the disrupted season you will only need to have completed 2 races to compete.
We have a good list of racers so far and will have the sign on sheet available again next week at the registration desk
We will be running a regular race prior and presentation and breakfast afterwards with great prizes and raffles – we would love to have as many members racing on the day as possible, so if you are unable to meet the criteria let the President know and we can make a decision on eligibility.
It would be great to see as many old members as possible race the full or intermediate race as we are still unsure as to next year’s availability – this may be the last chance to race for a while.
Marshalling
Thanks to today’s marshalls Tim Eade, Judy Murray, Jeff Murray and Guy Davoren
Next week’s marshalls are . Andrew Armstrong, Mel Duff, Helen Murphy and Wayde Smith
Stay safe and see you next week for our 2nd last race of the season – make it count as we are unsure of our future going forward for next season.
