Swim

  • 500m (20 laps x 25m indoor pool Tweed Heads Aquatic Centre)
  • Start at your allocated time. First-timers start at 6:00.
  • Self seed to a lane of your ability, slower swimmers encouraged to use outer lanes

Run

Competitors must be 13 years of age or older for Sprint event.

Walking in the swim leg is permitted as we try to encourage people to enjoy the sport of triathlon – if you decide to walk in the swim please choose one of the far left lanes of the pool. 

All road rules MUST be obeyed and safety practices observed. Reported transgressors face immediate disqualification and suspension from following meetings.
**Upper torso must be covered during the cycle and run leg.

Your individual swim, ride and run times are recorded each week. These will be available as an electronic download shortly after each race.

Summary

The club uses an electronic timing system and all participants must compete using a unique timing chip. Chips are available from the Timing Desk for $20 and are a one-off purchase. They become the responsibility of each competitor.

Bike course directions

  1. Start from Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre and turn left into Heffron St
  2. Right into Oxley St
  3. Left into Cunningham St
  4. Right into Sullivan St
  5. Left into Dry Dock Rd
  6. Left into Fraser Drive and continue all the way up Fraser Drive to the roundabout at Altitude Blvd, go around roundabout to continue back down (north) Fraser Drive.
  7. Turn left into Botanical Circuit
  8. Left into Leisure Drive
  9. Left onto Fraser Drive, continue onto Dry Dock Rd
  10. Right into Sullivan St
  11. Left into Cunningham St
  12. Right into Oxley St
  13. Left into Heffron St to return to Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre.
