Cold, wet and miserable conditions greeted 49 weather toughened Twinnies Triathletes, some may have taken the morning off to lay turf, taper before tomorrow’s Kingy Tri or just sleep in. One member happily posted on our facebook page how happy he was for his wife to go out on the ride in the pouring rain whilst he remained high and dry back at the registration area. You may see him below with a huge grin wearing a grey t-shirt!!!
Tappering before Kingy Tri or Staying Dry??
Unfortunately we had another fall this morning, thankfully the rider was uninjured and happily relayed her experience upon returning to transition. Question: How does one fall off your bike riding up Fraser Drive onto a water soaked grass verge?? Answer You just slow down enough that forward momentum stops and you forget to unclip! Just ask Manda

Doctor Bike Junior Paul Woodger spoke briefly on the Parliamentary Committee on Cycling Issues. 68 recommendations to improve cycling in Queensland have been made. They have not yet been passed and you can read them here
Shelly Roy has taken up the unusually challenge of heading to Serbia, to play in the Womans Handball World Championship. You can follow the Aussie team on either Eurosport news or www.serbia2013.com. Hopefully she may give us a trip report when she returns. Hint!
