We’re Back…….
First committee meeting of the season has been held, with a ceremonious changing of the guard with Dave Proudfoot gladly handing his box of tricks to our new Secretary Mary-ann Shuker.
The race calendar has now been updated, I am waiting to confirm the dates for the Junior races. We have added a special teams event to our calendar on the week before Christmas- more details on that when we get closer.
The annual Twinnies to Brunswick Bike Ride weekend is on again, departing Friday 24th August returning Sunday 26 August. For those interested in attending contact Julie West 0412 899-934 or Julie Bloor 0438 245-874 for more details – some people have been known to drive down rather than ride, it doesn’t really matter how you get there as long as you do..
We are looking at making it easier for existing club members to ‘SIGN ON’. Prior to the posted sign on date 1st September, existing financial members will be able to electronically sign on via the contacts page on the web site. You will be required to supply your name, your Twin Towns Service Club Membership no. Again there will be more details closer to the date.
We are looking at adding a Tradies/Services page to the site. So if your interested in participating please send your details to twintownstri@gmail.com
We’ll need your name, business name, the service you provide, your contact details and website links and a image if available to twintownstri@gmail.com
We are looking at reintroducing a gold coin donation to our health breakfasts. All money raised will be donated to a worthy cause which will be advertised prior. Last season we had offers from members to sponsor our breakfasts, if you would like some additional publicity, please contact me on twintownstri@gmail.com
And finally, thanks for those members who submitted road reports, there has been a bit of activity in our off season, Shelly Roy has just completed the Paris Triathlon and promised a report, from some of her photoes posted on Twinnies Facebook page, the race recovery food looked really ‘healthy’ and I bet tasted great, Maybe we could try it at the club!
Stand by for more updates as they occur
