With competitor numbers in excess of 100, with quite a few new members it was set to be a great day. The conditions were right with just a little breeze on the bike and the temperature just right.  I’m sure the handicapper will sort some of you out!

Its also a timely reminder at the start of the season for a reminder of some rules:
– Road rules must be obeyed – that means stop at RED LIGHTS or risk a 2    week suspension period.
–  The torso must be covered on the ride and run legs of the race
– Call our your race number clearly when going through transition  &         Slow  down when approaching the marshalls desk  after the run, don’ t bunch up.

Today we saw the start of the juniors race today handled by Ginny and Greg Freeman (he looked at home on the broom) and Scott and Kelly Styman.  The Juniors page will be updated with further information as it comes to hand to keep checking back.

Congratulations for Ian Curnow having completed 150 races today and also to Julie Bloor and Julie West for putting together the healthy breakfast, albeit with a few unexpected dramas completely out of our hand, but sorted  just after the presentation. Great job girls.

Doctor Bike – Paul Woodger again re-visited the need for effective lights as we approach daylight saving. We have one more race under ‘normal’ time before we come under eastern daylight saving time for the next 6 months. So get in now and get some decent lights- front and rear. If  cars have headlights on so should other road users.

Did you get to taste the recovery drink when finishing the run, provided by Brendon Stanford of V8 Training Heath & Fitness  Endorsed by Alex Gilks.

Random Draw winners for this week were:
Gerard Robards, Jeanette Annett, Louis Oram and Sue Baxter.
