Race 7 – 9th November 2019 – Twin Towns Tri Club

Under cool, smokey skies the Twinnies gang competed in our first ever Super Teams Event. With each team comprising of a range of abilities Kev, Dave and Stu calculated handicap times and a not long after 6 am, the first swimmers were in the pool. Swimmers completed 5, 5 and 4 laps respectively, followed by cyclists all completing 1 lap of Darlington. Lastly the first runner completed 1 lap of the Intermediate course, followed by the next two runners completing 2 laps along the golf course to the machinery shed and back. There were some exciting handovers of the very important rubber band and also a few questionable ones?! I think everyone will agree that it was a lot of fun and a great success. Thank you Kevie for all the effort you put in organising the event and of course to Dave, Stu and the other members of the Committee who all helped out to make the event a success.

60 Seconds with Jamie Stoddard

Jamie has been a member of Twinnies for 15 years. Last week Jamie went to Canberra and was awarded the National Medal of Service for 15 years of service to Tweed Valley Rescue where he currently holds the position of Deputy Captain. Congratulations Jamie! This is fantastic honour! Jamie’s goal at this point in his life is to complete 100 races at Twinnies!!
