Just over 70 competitors enjoyed the early morning hit out at Twinnies Tri this morning. 
Temperatures were a little cooler than last week with a moderate southerly slowing the cycle leg. A big congratulations to Darren Jones who competed in his 200th Club Race and was presented with a very special Twin Towns Tri Cap to signify membership to the ‘200’ club. Well done Darren!!
Our Super Teams Event will be held next week Saturday 14th November. Read below for details;
- Teams of three.
- Intermediate competitors are encouraged to be part of a team.
- Intermediate competitors will be given an approximation of full triathlon distances for handicap purposes.
- Each Team member will complete approximately one third of the distance of our full triathlon legs and will compete in all three legs. See below for details.
- Members to register on line by 7pm on Thursday – Teams will be allocated on Saturday morning and each team will have an intermediate competitor.

Super Teams Race Details
- Swimmer 1 swims 5 laps then tags Swimmer 2 who swims 5 laps then tags Swimmer 3 who swims 4 laps.
- Swimmer 3 runs to presentation area and tags Cyclist 1 who does 1 lap of Darlington Dve and then dismounts bike and tags Cyclist 2 who does 1 lap of Darlington and then the same procedure for Cyclist 3.
- Cyclist 3 tags Runner 1 who does 1 lap of the Intermediate course, returns and tags Runner 2 who does 2 laps of the internal road that runs along the golf course to the machinery shed. Runner 2 then tags Runner 3 who does the same as Runner 2 and finishes at our normal finish line.
Marshalls
Thank you to Mel Duff, Clive Pearce, Michelle Jones and Kylie Gibson for doing the marshalling duties this week.
Due to our Super Teams Event next week, we only require 2 Marshalls who are; Tracey Sewell at Lochlomond RAB and Robyn Barry at the Tooloona RAB.
Reminder – Stu has now allocated members to Marshalling spots. Please check the Marshalling Roster to see when you are marshalling. If the date allocated doesn’t suit, please organise your own replacement. Thank you!

60 Seconds with Andrew Miller
It was great to be back to our ’60 Seconds With…’ slot and this week we heard from Andrew Miller. Andrew is an ex Kingy High student who has been competing in triathlon for just under 2 years. Andrew’s best achievement is his wife – such a nice guy!!
Lost Property
Last week a black jacket/top was left behind with a blue shirt and we still have a black pair of Mizuno runners that were left behind a couple of weeks ago.
