It was a quiet, dark morning at Twinnies with under 40 competitors. A few people forgot to turn on lights which is pretty dangerous so make sure you don’t forget next week.

At this stage, the pool will remain open unless told to close by either Twin Towns or some other authority. Andrew, Oasis Pools Banora, ensured us that the chlorination level in the pool is more than sufficient to kill any virus.

Club Championships next week – PLEASE READ – COVID-19 UPDATE 21 March

Next Saturday (28th March) is our Club Championship race. To be eligible to compete in the Championship race you need to have completed 10 club races. Nominations can still be made next Saturday morning. At this stage, the race will go ahead.

This morning we announced that we would be having a Presentation ceremony after the race followed by a BBQ with substantial random draw prizes. Unfortunately in the current uncertain climate with Covid-19 restrictions we have had to CANCEL these plans.
Stu spoke to Rob Smith from Twin Towns and his advice was to cancel the proposed gathering after the race. Therefore we will not be presenting awards or providing a BBQ breakfast. We will acknowledge winners but will not be presenting trophies. We will notify all members through Facebook or email if there are any further changes.

We need to be mindful of hygiene and  practise social distancing at all times as demonstrated by Jonno and Deb.

The Presentation Evening at Twin Towns has been cancelled due to the club cancelling all functions until at least June 14. Full refunds are available for anyone who has purchased a ticket.

Hoping that things will return to normal, we will plan to have our Presentation Day in September when we have the sign on BBQ and breakfast. We’ll confirm plans closer to the day.
