Race Report 8 December 2012
The countdown is on, its only 10 sleeps to go for the inaugural Twin Towns Triathlon club teams event 22 December which will be followed by a beautiful healthy breakfast. To recap the rules, this race is not an official sanction Twin Towns Triathlon Race and will not be included in your official races completed, there will be no marshals required or times issued. This is a fun event were we get to mix with other fellow competitors. Everyone will pull a number out of a hat and they you will be required to find the other two members with corresponding numbers. Then work out who will do the swim, the bike (3 laps of Darlington Drive) and if you like you can all do the run.

Doctor Bike touched on the best practice of getting your drink bottle out of the holder, moving your support hand toward the centre of the handle bar to maintain a steady course, and when going up a hill getting your bottle out and drinking is not considered best practice. No one likes getting a flat tyre, Paul gave us a hint on reduce the risk by this simple task. Every now and then, drop the tyre pressure to about half, have a good look at the tyre for any cuts, any signs of glass in those cuts, using a small screw driver or similar remove glass, then get some Super Glue and get mum or dad to drop a little glue in the cuts and squeeze the tyre together being careful not to glue your fingers to the tyres or together- a trip to the hospital holding a tyre can be avoided if you have some acetone on hand.
