Club Race No.7 Update
This weather is starting to be almost predictable each Saturday at Twin Towns Triathlon Club, one week its fine and the next week is raining. So, for those not heading up to the Noosa Multi Sport Triathlon next weekend it may be raining here again. For those staying behind, next Saturday is your day to shine, numbers will be down and this is your opportunity to gain some extra points through the handicap system and progress up the point score ladder.
With a fine day and final opportunity for a hit out before Noosa , 98 competitors joined with 8 new members to race, with some in the new Twinnies Tri suits – looking extremely FAST.

Congratulations to Julie Bloor and Julie West for their effort in designing our new club kit and ensuring that those racing at Noosa next weekend were able to wear the new tri suits. It is amazing the difference it makes when racing in club colours, when from out of the crowd there is a call, ‘… Go Twinnies’ .
Again a reminder to abide by the road rules, keep to the left and stop at the STOP LINE if caught at the traffic lights- this is self-policed and you can guarantee that someone will see you and report it- 2 week suspension is imposed. As you all know there are those in the community that don’t like cyclists, so please when participating in club events don’t give anyone the opportunity to complain.
It was interesting to stand on the finish line and watch competitors coming in, some were calling their number after just coming through the gate, even though there were people in front of them. The finish line is at the top of the steps in front of the recording table. Please slow right down, you may be required to walk or on occasions as it was today stop to allow the time keeps to catch up.
