Welcome back to Twinnies Tri!

Welcome to the 56 competitors who raced today in humid conditions for our first race of the season. It has been an extra long off-season and there were a lot of people excited to be back.

Welcome to our newest competitors – please make them feel welcome
Wayde Smith, Madeline Smith, Greg Williamson, Peter Rudland

Unfortunately, we had a timing issue today so the race results were not recorded.  However, our timekeeper assures us it will be all good for next week – thanks to Dave and Amy for all your help.

Some housekeeping

Just a reminder, please ensure you have working front and rear lights on the bike and obey all road rules including passing on the right hand side (no overtaking on the inside) and obey all traffic rules including stopping at red lights and giving way on roundabouts.

We compete on open roads and our continued operation is dependent upon us doing the right thing and not having complaints from local residents.

Registration

Sign in closes at 5.50am NSW to allow time for the timekeepers to finalise the entries prior to the 6am start for the first wave. Please allow enough time to get registered and numbered pre race

Marshalling

If you have not already done so, could you please nominate a date to marshall. We need 4 marshalls each week to be able to hold our races, it’s an opportunity to see our event from a different perspective and really do your part.

If you are unable to race and have some time to spare, please sign up. We need 1 more marshall for the 13th Nov and 2 more for the 20th Nov

Marshalls for next Saturday are:
Helen Murphy on Fraser Drive RAB, Alex Torrance at Woodlands RAB, Terry Simpson at Lochlomond RAB and Ashleigh Murphy at the Tooloona RAB.

Finally, wishing all the best to our athletes who are competing in Noosa this weekend – hope you have a great race and we wish we could be there.

Registration is now open for next week so jump on and sign up by clicking on the Register Here button at the top of this page.

Looking forward to our second race of the season next Saturday.
Stay safe and keep training – it will get easier!
