The 1st of February saw close to 60 competitors enjoying an early morning hit out before the heat of the day rolled in. It was pretty warm in the pool, calm on the bike and warming rapidly on the run! It has been great to see everyone turning up with front and back lights. Remember we have some spare lights to lend if you forget or arrive to find your lights are flat.
60 Seconds with Viv Wright
Viv has been competing in triathlon for only 3 years and has enjoyed success at numerous Kingscliff Triathlons as well as recently winning her age group at Yamba Triathlon. She is a super cyclist,
beating all the guys in 
D Grade to win the club championship at Murwillumbah Cycle Club a few years ago! Brilliant effort Viv!!
Marshalls
Thank you to Rob Worth, Lorraine Bassett, James Mourant and Matt Stanley who were our course Marshalls today.
We still have a large number of unfilled marshalling spots. Please consider volunteering as we can’t run the race if our marshalling spots aren’t filled. Thank you in advance!!

Upcoming Races
Good luck to coach Des Gooda who will be competing in the Australian Alpine Ascent next weekend. The race begins in Jindabyne and finishes at the top of Mt Kosciuszko! Des will swim 3k in Lake Jindabyne, ride 130k over mountainous terrain and finish up with a 30k uphill run! We all look forward to hearing all about it when he returns! Have a great race Des!!
Next weekend is also the ‘Hell of the West’ Triathlon at Gundewindi. Good luck to Sebastian Thompson who is competing in a kids event on Saturday and to Scott Thompson, Terry Simpson and Kyle Mooney who are competing in the main event on Sunday (2k swim, 80k cycle and 20k run). AGM
