This morning, being our last triathlon before Christmas, was fairly quiet at Twinnies with just over 50 competitors on the course. Conditions were clear and calm but pretty warm. We enjoyed scones and Christmas gingerbread with tea and coffee after the race.

It was great to see the return of one of our Juniors from long ago – Cody Klein. Also returning this morning to prevent Richard from selling her bike was Lorraine Bassett. Great to see you both out there today!

Well done to Andrew Miller and Steve Ring who stepped up from Intermediate to the full distance this morning.

Most competitors had their lights this morning but it wasn’t a perfect turn out. Please remember to recharge your lights before Saturday morning – it’s for your own safety.

Last week a small ladies Twinnies T-shirt was left behind so if you found you arrived home with an extra shirt, please bring it in next week and give it to one of the committee members.

60 Seconds with John King

John, a long term Twinnies member, has been competing in Triathlon for about 30 years as well as being an A Grade Cyclist in the past. John is extremely competitive in his age group winning spots on podiums in multiple events.
