This morning presented itself with great conditions after a good shower of rain last night that cooled temperatures down a little. We had 53 competitors so there was plenty of room in the pool. A big thank you to Ginny for doing a great job this week as Timekeeper.
A big welcome to new member Isabelle Mullen who made her triathlon debut in the Intermediate race being carefully shown around the course by Club President, Matt Lance……maybe a bit of special treatment?
A huge congratulations to Glenn Lance for completing his 600thrace. Glenn has been a member of the club for 26 years, competing in his first Twinnies race in October 1992. Like many of our members, Glenn has been a regular at Noosa, competing in 13 races as well as countless years, along with Di, supporting Matt, Lauren and others from Twinnies as a loyal spectator. Glenn has also competed in the gruelling ‘Hell of the West’ in Goondiwindi twice. Glenn now joins Doug Neil as our only two members to have achieved this milestone. Thank you Doug for dropping down this morning – we always love to see you!
Thanks to Dave who has done a great job getting the point score in order. Congratulations to the first two Handicap Winners for the season; Col Woodward and Alex Gilks who were both presented with their ‘winners towels’.
Random Draw Winners
Random draw winners this week were John King who won the voucher from Tweed Coast Chiropractic, Brendan Brookes who won the voucher from Twisted Fig Cafe, Col Woodward who won the Coast Cyclery voucher and Mark Collinson who won the Therapies on Boyd voucher. Thank you to our very generous sponsors for donating the vouchers each week. Please support them.
