What a morning, three cheers for the 25 members that braved the miserable conditions and made the effort to turn up. It was pouring cats and dogs as the committee arrived to begin setting up, it was so bad that one could question if these people should be driving cars as clearly they can’t see the lines in the carpark.

For those of you that took what many believe to be; the better/warmer/dryer/safer option. The conditions weren’t too bad, the rain only came in heavy as the cyclist were heading in, and great fully, everyone rode to the conditions and there were no injuries to report. Even in these questionable conditions, we still had 7 people break their handicap.

The timing system worked a treat, so it appears Dave DQ MD, has finally eliminated the gremlins and began training Kent Holmes and Jen Scaysbrook in the dark arts of the timing system.  Last week after the race I was contacted by a member inquiring about the process in replacing his timing chip and if a timing chip had been handed in. I wasn’t going to name and shame him – but this week he was racing using his son’s chip- and blamed him for swapping them! his initials are ST, in charge of the Junior Tri’s and can be seen wearing a blue tri shit crossing the finish line with Ben Hall.

Here are some snaps from todays finish line.
